One of my favorite visual images at Easter is color. I love the colors in the liturgical calendar, the draping of the altar and the cross during this season.

There are so many visuals that confuse the issues/events, that I look forward to seeing those that remind us, in their simplicity, of what is truly important.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Our church is not liturgical and I am unfamiliar with this draping of the cross in symbolic colours. I love it! Purple Sunday is just around the corner...
ReplyDeleteIt's such powerful time of year; thanks for this visual reminder. From Holy Thursday until the appearance of light after the Easter Vigil, the services are moving. We are urged to remain humble, so that the miracle and joy of rebirth can be even more impactful.
ReplyDeleteThe simplicity of color carries such a profound message. Thank you, Dori. As I ponder the power of color, I remember the wordless bracelets we make using five colored beads to share the gospel message with children.
