My one little word/thought/phrase for this year was a sense of expectation that something new, some kind of change was in the air. It seems to be the case. And while new exciting changes can be wonderful, they also come with challenges.

thing and a known thing here)and
changing everything carefully
spring is like a perhaps
Hand in a window

Love and Spring -- two of Cummings' best themes. Nice to read this poem again. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy spring, Jama!
ReplyDeleteDori,
ReplyDeleteI love Cumming's "mud-licious" in THE BALLOON MAN. You can hear him reading here:

Thanks for this delightful post.
Thanks for that link, Joy!
DeleteAt least this year, spring really does tip-toe carefully, here today, gone tomorrow. Cummings was brilliant, wasn't he?
ReplyDeleteYes. Brilliant. Who else writes spring like he does?
DeleteChange is the glorious enigma, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a poem, Michelle!
ReplyDelete:) Love the gentle simplicity of this viewpoint on spring. Its a subtle time, especially in the very beginning like this, eh?
ReplyDeleteCummings puts it perfectly. Yes, "a perhaps hand". = )
