Chipmunks jump, and
Greensnakes slither.
Rather burst than
Not be with her.
Bluebirds fight, but
Bears are stronger.
We've got fifty
Years or longer.
Hoptoads hop, but
Hogs are fatter.
Nothing else but
Us can matter.

ReplyDeleteFantastic post! I love the video. I have to admit that spoken poetry does scare me. I am very much a reader only. I don't look for or participate in readings. Not sure why. I think there's only one thing to do about this and that's to face it. I'll be spending some time looking for and watching poetry vids. This was a great start.
